Country Threads BOM: June

I'm still chugging along on my blocks of the month.  Here's the June edition for the Country Threads project:
You can see that I'm still not too good at getting those points to match properly.  I'm not sure why.  The cutting was especially accurate for the large block since I used my Accuquilt Go and the seams should be good since I have a 1/4 inch foot.  So I'm not sure where the problem is.  Any suggestions?

And here are the blocks for January - June:

  1. I like your colors, Nina. I have no tips on sewing triangles. In fact, I stay away from blocks where 8 pieces of fabric meet in the middle. Maybe someday I'll tackle it.

  2. I'm not a great fan of pinning unless I need to but I think that where so many seams meet it's easy for the sewing machine to shift them about a bit when sewing over them, so I pin the seam on either side of the 'lump' and remove the pins at the very last minute to try and keep them in place. Have you tried ironing the seams open? I've recently started doing this. Again, pinning is needed as the seams don't 'nest' but it's flatter where they all meet. Hope this helps.

  3. I am not the best at getting points to meet in the middle. I have found pinning for bigger pieces very useful.
